Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this Absolutely exquisite, hand carved from solid rock library book which is part of a suite I have six of these in total made from mixed stones including some red marble, this sale is for the piece mentioned above alone with the others being listed under my other items This is one of the most interesting pieces of, I guess Folk Art you would class it, that I have ever seen, it is as mentioned, a library book which has been carved from solid stone, it naturally is very thought provoking as all good art should be, you have the refined stylings of a book, in the roughness of something that was literally formed millions of years ago, before Dinosaurs roamed the earth! This can be used as a bookend, a door stop or as I have been using it as a sculpture to be admired, every single chap that has walked in to my office has commented on the suite The condition is very distressed and totally original Dimensions Height:- 22cm Width:- 23.5cm Depth:- 13cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
