A beautiful and elegant pair of sculptural animalist bookends, France 1930.
Each piece represents a stylisezed jumping dear bronze sculpture on a massive grey marble base. The thin details of the sculptures and the dynamic movement of the dears are obviously the result of a major artist of the french art deco period.
