About the Item
Extra Large Set of Vintage Leather Bookends with Patinated Bronze Horses in Full Sprint, Italy circa 1950s.
One bookend is in red leather and the other in green leather. The patina of the leather and bronze shows the unique patina of time given by the wear from previous use. Each of the bronze horses are probably made in gilt bronze but retains their unpolished patina. Both bookends has what appears to be a butterfly embossed decoration in the leather on the upright part of the bookend. Both are marked *Made in Italy".
