About the Item
This pair of sculptural bookends truly is a rare find!
Designed by Hannes Heinz Goll, the Austrian enfant terrible of the 60's art scene and co-founder of the "Grüne Galerie" (green gallery), these two bronze sculptures are most decorative on their own but also make for great bookends.
Goll, who worked predominantly in Colombia, designed this pair in the brutalist style and the geometric designs give these bookends a timeless appeal.
Well proportioned, both bookends are in excellent condition and have a beautiful textured shine to them.
They would make an ideal gift for Mid-Century enthusiasts and avid readers alike.
