About the Item

Spectacular bookends, made entirely of brass, from the Art Deco period, around the 1930s, probably made in Austria or Germany. The bookends of the same size have a wide stand and support and a special representation fans out in between. It is a floral representation of laurel leaves with berries - typically designed for the Art Deco period and very elaborate. The special feature is not only the charming design but also the material. The bookends are very heavy in order to be able to hold several books and ensure a solid stand. Measurements each approx.: height 4,72 in - 12 cm, width 3,35 in - 8,5 cm, depth 2,05 in - 5,2 cm. A pair of extraordinary bookends that are a special eye-catcher for your library and an outstanding European design object.
