About the Item
This striking piece features a 50cm diameter globe elevated on a sycamore dusk veneered stand with caps, brace detailing and a highly polished base in aluminium brass. The globe rests on three roller bearings, which allow for a fluid and unimpeded 360-degree motion.
The large orb is meticulously hand painted using Sennelier watercolor pigment with a UV- and scratch-resistant resin coat. Honey is added to the pigment, giving the paint an incomparable brilliance and smoothness.
Based in Stoke Newington, Bellerby
Co. are artisan globemakers, whose founder Peter's unfulfilled search for the perfect globe to gift to his father resulted in the beginnings of the company.
