Crafts Victorian metamorphic library steps chair in oak with period upholstered Carpet steps
A very charming and highly collectable piece, designed as an at home library steps and reading chair, these are used to add a sense of grand occasion to a standard bookcase
I don't come across many that have the Arts
Crafts style carving to the back and none have William Morris style carpet upholstery to the steps
The finish is original, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it, there will be age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect
