A very good looking and well made piece, these just scream English Victorian decadence, the cuts of timber are sublime, they are flamed mahogany as mentioned with lovely carved detailing around the top, the leather is all new, it is fully Aniline Italian hide, this kind of leather is upholstered plain which is way more expensive than pre-dyed leather, its then hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished, the end result is a piece that is better than new.
These are used with tall at home Library bookcases, they are wonderful additions to any home today as they are functional and beautiful
We have cleaned waxed and polished the timber from top to bottom, there will be some age and use related period patina marks here and there
