About the Item

An Exquisite Mid 20th Century Chinoiserie Six Panel Folding Screen. Features a black lacquer frame decorated with a traditional oriental garden scene with raised soapstone figures and mother of pearl inlay. Features a garden landscape with Geisha figures amongst cherry blossom trees and pagodas. The bottom portion of screen features cranes, birds and ducks framed in mother of pearl inlay. Verso of screen is decorated in black and gold with birds a branched detail. Feet are brass capped Dimensions: 72" h x 80" w x 1" d ; each panel 16"
