About the Item

NOTE: We are unable to classify the artist on the 1stdibs form because the site doesn’t recognize the artist’s name. This screen was painted, signed and dated by the artist Philip Camporeale as a commission for a couple in 1960. The moody twilight fantasy he imagined has an almost surreal, yet still charming effect. The eloquent movement from panel to panel is almost mesmerizing, while the stonework balustrade and Romanesque arches frame the scene. We have never seen anything like it. PLEASE NOTE: WE MAY BE ABLE TO ASSIST WITH SHIPPING.
