About the Item
An Exceptional and Rare Art Deco Panel Screen in Glass and Oak Decorated after Marie Laurencin with representations of Dawn, Day, Dusk and Night, and signed Laurencin. The screen is set in a black-painted oak frame with its original period hinges. Across the four sandblasted-glass panels, Laurencin's designs capture each moment of the day in her signature sensual and lyrical vision, rendering her female figures with exquisitely expressive facial features.
Marie Laurencin consistently employed soft, delicate colors in her work; her compositions are spare and elegant, and her women are always portrayed as elongated, graceful forms—qualities that set her apart in 1920s Parisian society.
Measurements:
Each panel: 60 cm × H 230 cm
Total width (fully extended): 240 cm (folded, the width is reduced)
The screen is disassembled and shipped in two protective crates.
Price INCLUDES the costs for any packaging and crates needed to protect the item and keep the item stable during any International travel ( tailored made wooden crate and inner professional packaging ).
