About the Item

Screen by Russian artist Dmitry Samygin Poplar plywood and beech veneered carved and lacquered Measure: 170 cm x 180 cm x 2 cm (67 x 71 x 0.8 in). Customizable -- After studying Applied Arts at the National University of Art and Industry, Stroganov, Dmitry Samygin quickly collaborated with his father, a wooden furniture manufacturer, to design different pieces of furniture. Heavily inspired by early-century designs from the 20s to the 40s, Dmitry created pieces close in spirit to Mackintosh, Rietveld or even Le Corbusier. Today, Dmitry Samygin continues to design furniture with his father but he also now creates custom orders for some of his clients. Marking a heritage left by the design icons of the 20th Century, Dmitry Samygin’s work stands out because of his use of simple shapes and clean lines, giving his creations a certain discrete elegance.

Gold and Black Art Nouveau / Art Deco Paravant 20th Century Wood and Gold Leaf
Located in DE
Beautiful and rare Art Nouveau or Art Deco 20th century Paravent. The stunning geometry of the pattern draws you into a hall full of archways and pillars. The room divider has four panels and is made out of wood, painted and gold leafed. The pattern comes out of the panels, as it is textured in a 3 dimensional way. The elegant color scheme is striking in its black and gold and copper contrast and no attention to detail has been spared in this beautiful and rare screen. The back of the room divider is painted black. Details are painted in greens, blues and pastel purple and beige colors. The size of the home screen measures 215 cm in height, 185 in width and 2 cm in depth. There are four panels and each has a width of 46 cm that can be placed at different angels or flat against the wall as a piece of art in itself. Rare antique Paravent...
