A masterpiece of design and craftsmanship, ‘Mystic Garden’ is Taher’s Chemirik’s fourth paravent and the latest addition to the ‘Interior Treasures’ (‘Bijoux d’Intérieur’) collection. A true sculpture, made of brass, ‘Mystic Garden’ resembles a wild yet bright vegetation whose sensual petals spread open 180 degrees like a field of tulips facing the sun. Taher Chemirik was named by Time one of the world’s most influential designers in 2007 for his jewelry signature designs using oversized links, drop-like petals, and ebony wood. Three of his pieces are included in the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. 'In my jewelry, I use fine stones, gold, and silver, but also wood, coral, and hard stones. I like to mix materials in my furniture as well, in particular ones that defy time and are in line with the tradition of the decorative arts – brass, wood, and hard stones’. The complexity of the ‘Mystic Garden’ 100% brass paravent is also in the simplicity of the material as it is one of Taher Chemirik’s rare single material pieces. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (ENSAD), jewelry designer Taher Chemirik has collaborated with some of the world’s most prestigious fashion labels, including Chloé, Hermès, Balenciaga, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Roger Vivier. With the "Interior Treasures" ("Bijoux d'Intérieur") furniture collection exclusively produced and sold by Galerie BSL, Chemirik reveals the entire extent of his talent, that identifies him as a poet and architect of the object. Each piece is unique, hand-made in Paris in fine and timeless materials, such as brass, copper and rare hard stones. His works have the beauty of a contemporary sculpture, dense as well as sensual, refined and dramatic. Their strong presence vouches for the panache of an artist who expresses himself in volume, in tune with the scale of jewelry as well as with pieces with larger dimensions.   The ‘Mystic Garden’ Screen is a signed, unique piece. Taher Chemirik's 'Interior Treasures' ('Bijoux d'Intérieur') furniture has been repeatedly featured in the French and international press since its launch at Design Miami in 2012.
