Mid-Century Room Divider - Screen in Iron with Linen by St. Herzog Munich 1990s
Located in Salzburg, AT
Screen in iron with heavy linen fabric covering by Stefan Herzog.
The naturalistic object has a poetic touch and recalls the works of Garouste and Bonetti.
The iron parts have a certain rusticity, the pores are open, making them look almost like branches.
The slightly coarser beige-colored linen harmonizes perfectly with the brown iron frame.
The 3-frame parts are mounted on 4 large oak wheels.
The object is movable and, when postitioning, the wheels must be properly aligned.
These oak wheels give the object the final touch.
Stefan Herzog was born in 1960 in Germany- Munich.
His father runs for many years a Kunstschmiede in Munich, therefore meets
Stefan Herzog also this choice of profession.
He is trained as a blacksmith and visits the art academy in Munich, he concludes his training with the master craftsman's diploma.
He takes over his father's family business.
His artistic heart is attached to the special objects that he designs again and again.
Various exhibitions in Munich with forged unique pieces - furniture follow...
