About the Item
Designed by Andrea Macruz, the V.az is a contemporary partition made of pinewood. Created in 2016.
The v.az is made of pinewood strips cut in a CNC and connected by four steel cables carefully distributed at different heights.
V.az is a partition screen that transmits the idea of fluidity. Due to its soft openings and the sense of movement these openings send, it is a poetic and interactive furniture piece.
It was designed on the computer and inspired on triangular patterns of leaf coloring, such as those in then false shamrock and the plant species "calathea-louisae," which inspired the creation of opposing triangular openings.
Award-winning piece of furniture at the "Premio Salão Design 2017"- the biggest Product Design Award in Latin America.
Andrea Macruz is a designer in "Nolii," that focuses on the study of Nature and advanced computational systems. New technologies allow the reproduction of complex forms and patterns that would be difficult without the computer.

"Conogó" Colored Partition Screen in Hardwood, Brazilian Contemporary Design
By Noemi Saga Atelier
Located in Sao Paulo, BR
This contemporary style partition screen or room divider, painted in MDF, is made of sucupira hardwood. Named the Conogó, this partition screen is art–furniture.
Its constructive and aesthetic inspiration is a mix of references that goes from several fields, from universal cultural roots to contemporary art.
In one hand, Conogó’s constructive form and its use of simple materials references the work of indigenous ancestors and their connection with nature. On the other hand, its play with optical illusion, rhythm and movement creates dialogue with contemporary Kinetic art.
