We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning, circa 1901 dated hand painted Romanian clothes trunk or marriage coffer chest depicting a large love heart with flowers
I have recently purchased a very large collection of these original, antique painted wardrobes and trunks, I have around 15 wardrobes and 20 trunks in total, each one totally different, this sale is for the piece listed above with all others being listed under my other items
This one is an exceptionally good looking well made and collectable piece, the hand painted detailing is exquisite throughout, this one as mentioned shows a large colourful flowers to the front with a very large heart in the middle, it is dated 1901 inside, the top has little fish painted on it and is of larger than normal proportions
Condition wise this chest has all the original paint, finish and hardwear, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect, all of which add to the honesty, charm and charisma of the wardrobe
