About the Item
Antique vertical travel trunk, a wardrobe trunk from the early to mid-20th century (circa 1920s–1940s). Made of wood covered with black canvas and reinforced with metal corner protectors and fittings (brass and iron). It has original leather handles and latches. One side retains a diagonal stripe painted in red and green, possibly a mark of the original owner. The interior is fully lined with paisley-patterned fabric in shades of blue and orange. One side features several drawers with leather handles, and the other has compartments, pockets, and a hanging rail, as was typical of luxury travel trunks of the period. A magnificent example of period luggage, ideal as a decorative piece.
