Superb living room or bedroom storage with fine Victorian appeal Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Beautiful golden oak presents fine grain interest and rich caramel hues Stout craftsmanship, with punctilious use of iron caps and strapping Lid held securely with a long strap hinge with through lock —untested, key absent Opens to reveal a lined and painted interior and held upon a hinged bracket Maker's mark across the leading edge for J.J. Peters Co, a Bristol silversmiths Remnant of an aged travel label tantalises across the lid edge Graced with an engraved name plaque to the fascia, reading W.H. Clarke Esq Dressed with pairs of cast iron drop handles to each end for carriage This is a delightful antique storage trunk, ideal for adding generous stowage to your bedroom or lounge in the robust, appealing Victorian manner.
