About the Item

Beautiful leather trunk manufactured at the mid-20th century period in France. It has very nice proportions, handles at both sides and 2 large solid metal rings at the back enable to fasten it. Wooden interior part without fabric. It is a very uncommon piece. The same style of trunk was found on the back of elephants during some hunting’s. Also similar trunks like this were used for cars. This luggage trunk would be interesting for storage or decorative purposes. Interesting also as log holder near the fireplace. Rare find. Overall Measures: 69 cm W x 29 cm D x 36 cm H
