About the Item
A beautiful and rare vintage example of the "Lo-Boy" Converto trike, A futurist bike in cast aluminium, sculpture or object of art. Ralph Johnson Lorenzo designed his first convertible tricycle in 1938 which slowly evolved into the Converto and the Converto low boy. The design allows it to convert from a tricycle to a bicycle. The posture of the low boy was intended to make the bike easier for riders with less leg strength. Finely designed and crafted of cast aluminium, the bike has solid rubber wheels, an adjustable seat, and style to spare. This example dated 1945..
