About the Item
19th century oak hall stand from England. The top has a lovely crown molding, over a hand carved central panel, flanked by carved sides, which have three brass hooks on each side for excellent hat or coat storage. The central panel is wonderfully decorated and retains its original mirror. The base of the piece has a single glove drawer, which is a convenient feature, and is flanked by two umbrella or cane compartments, all surrounded by hand carved rails and turned front legs. The back legs are simple for easy placement against a wall. The legs are lined by a bottom shelf, with the original compartments for the umbrella or cane bases. The piece is raised on hand turned feet in the front.
