Galant_03 — Contemporary lacquered steel wall valet by Josep Abril (Cintes / Ribbons Series).
A ribbon of metal that seems to fly and draw in space, then freeze into a hand-bent, twisted flat bar: Galant_02 is a wall-mounted valet stand that doubles as a minimalist sculpture. The first piece in the Cintes (“Ribbons,” in Catalan) collection, it brings couture precision to the daily ritual of hanging a jacket, trousers, scarf or belt—functional art for entryways, bedrooms and dressing rooms, as well as boutique hotels and retail interiors.
Crafted in grey lacquered steel, the piece delivers graphic presence and long-lasting durability; professional wall fixing is recommended (mounting, finishes and dimensions available on request). Designed in Barcelona, Spain (2020s) and offered new.
Created by Josep Abril, a Barcelona fashion designer trained in Fine Art and Fashion Design at EATM and known for his eponymous JOSEP ABRIL menswear label, his Bespoke made-to-measure tailoring and the Uniformed By line of luxury uniforms for airlines, catering and hotels. Abril served seven years as creative director of Armand Basi One (menswear), has taught since 2009 at ESDI, LCI and ELISAVA, and designed opera costumes for La Fura dels Baus / Àlex Ollé at Opéra de Lyon, Opéra de Lille, the Liceu (Barcelona) and Teatro Real (Madrid). Recipient of multiple awards for Best Fashion Designer and Best Collection, he translates his pared-back, structural language from the runway to the wall—turning a valet stand into a sculptural statement.
