About the Item
Rare and chic chrome and black Machine Age, Art Deco coat rack, made in the USA, circa 1930's. The coat tree features four opposing horizontal arms at the top, a tubular chrome center pole, on a circular stepped chrome and black plinth base. Design reminiscent of Gilbert Rohde, Donald Deskey, KEM Weber etc, this example is unsigned.
Solid , sturdy, clean, ready to use condition, shows minor signs of age and use, normal and consistent with age. Specifically plinth base shows a visible dent at the chrome collar, please see images.
Total H 68.75 x Dia at Base 12 x W at Top 14.5 inches.
