We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning original continental circa 1880 wrought iron coat stand with period green paint and gold leaf accents This is a bit of a unicorn in the world of coat stands, it’s a very classically European style, most likely French, the form is not common and does come up for sale every few years or so, the rarity is the colour, I have never seen an original paint one before and especially not in green with gold accents, it is super rare, highly collectable and about as on trend as you could hope to find anywhere In terms of the condition it is straight and solid, the paint has a nice patination and looks very artistic from all angles, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom Dimensions Height:- 180cm Width:- 48cm Depth:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Conditions Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
