About the Item

Beautiful German Art Nouveau wall coat rack made around 1900, crafted from solid oak with original brass fittings. The design features an elegant geometric structure typical of early Jugendstil furniture. Two mirror panels are integrated into the back section — one in the upper left and one in the lower right corner — creating a visually balanced composition, while the opposite fields remain in warm polished oak. The piece offers a central shelf with an open compartment beneath and four solid brass hooks for coats and hats. An integrated umbrella stand adds further practicality. The mirror panes were replaced at a later time, the brass hooks are original. Restored and hand-polished, this functional yet decorative piece brings authentic Art Nouveau character and craftsmanship to any hallway or entrance area.
