All handcrafted in the late 19th century, a coat rack of this size and beauty would only have been affordable for the wealthiest. Also, because only the entry hall of a large European mansion would have the space in which this extra large coat rack would look good. The three stunningly hand carved back panels of this antique work of beauty and also the four perfect brackets (holding the large top shelf) are decorated with some of the finest carved motifs ever. The tiger oak that was chosen to create this coat rack over the years has become even more warm and today this, so called, patina is what makes this antique even more impressive and attractive.
