Museum quality and condition Art Deco coat rack.
This geometrical coat rack from the Dutch Art Deco era is a design by Paul Izeren and executed in the studio of 'De Genneper Molen' in the province of Limburg in the south of Holland. This studio was named after the water wheel that generated the power they needed to saw the wood with which they created their furniture. Paul Izeren truly created an Art Deco style of his own and his designs appeal to collectors around the globe. This entry work of beauty is made of solid oak, solid coromandel hooks (a woodtype that today will cost you appr. 100.000 USD per square meter) and a reddish patinated oak panel in the center and it has a patina to die for. The coromandel elements and hooks stand out particularly well against the warm oak background and the straight lines of all patterns make this antique coat rack an absolute joy to own, to use and to look at. This good size and superb condition antique is as strong and stabile as the day it was hand-crafted and thanks to the original metal hooks on the back, safely mounting it on your wall will take no more than a few minutes.
