About the Item

This late nineteenth century French faux bamboo A-frame easel features a 2 inch deep tray which adjusts up and down to different heights by moving the tray to five different heights via a nut and bolt at the back of the tray. The height and pitch of the easel may be adjusted using the screw that tightens onto the back leg. Originally used to display a piece of artwork in a gallery, this mid-size easel stands ready to grace any interior. c. 1890.
