About the Item

A wonderfully unusual and rare Mid-Century Modernist magazine stand or newspaper holder from the 1950s. Featuring a vibrant yellow painted curved metal holder with perforated holes of different sizes this piece very much reflects the style of both Mathieu Matégot and Ernst Igl. We love the whimsical nature of this Stand, the colour and the subtle handle of thick, solid brass wire wrapped around the black iron frame.
