This is an antique Canterbury stand. An English, mahogany and oak four compartment magazine rack, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820. Appealing late Georgian craftsmanship, ideal for the living room or conservatory Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues Drawer box crafted from oak with dovetail joint construction Graceful staves stretch between block shoulders upon turned uprights Arranged as four compartments, the central division finished with a neat butler's grasp Useful drawer to base adds further storage, dressed with a pair of circular pulls Raised upon short turned legs and riding smoothly upon brass castors to each corner This is a delightful antique Canterbury stand, with fine colour and appealing Regency form. Of useful size for several publications or sheet music if required. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
