This is an antique low profile Canterbury. An English, mahogany 4 division newspaper or magazine stand, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820. Delightful concave form and rich colour accentuate this Regency example Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order Select stocks present fine grain interest and warm caramel hues Of useful conservatory proportion, each division of generous form for folded newspapers Distinctive concave divider rails offering four divisions Graceful visual effect with slender pillars supporting the upper rails Wide drawer to base adds further storage, dressed with a pair of brass circular pulls Raised upon short turned legs and riding smoothly upon brass castors to each corner This is a fascinating antique low profile Canterbury, graced with wonderful colour and a distinctive appearance. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
