About the Item

Antiques of London A superb vintage burl walnut Canterbury magazine/musical score stand, styled in the classic Victorian tradition. The richly figured burl veneer is displayed across all horizontal surfaces, including the drawer face, with contrasting turned legs, barley-twist columns, and original castors. The well-proportioned design features an upper rack section supported by five slender turned columns above a roomy frieze drawer that opens via small turned knobs. The base rests on solid turned baluster legs with porcelain or ceramic castors for easy mobility and added visual elegance. Each element reflects period charm and quality craftsmanship—the kind of functional interior accessory once favoured in Georgian and Victorian libraries or drawing rooms.
