About the Item
This Victorian adjustable oak bible/dictionary stand was popular in the late 19th century and produced by various manufacturers, including Josiah Anstice
Co. of New York and Geo Flanagan. This stand features a sturdy cast iron base with four curved legs ending in small castors. There is a small filigree shelf on the stem. The 13" x 8" oak panels with ledges can be adjusted to tilt or level and graduated to hold large volumes like bibles, dictionaries, music books, or whatever tome you desire. It is height adjustable from 27" to 40". Its folding design allows for easy storage when not in use. This stand combines timeless design with practical functionality, making it a charming addition to any library or study.
