About the Item

Rippen Pianos of the Netherlands were well respected for their high-quality instruments of unique designs and materials. Nico Rippen designed this folding piano as a design that could be shipped for less cost and moved into smaller homes. The pianos were manufactured for a very short period in 1969 in Shannon, Ireland, as it was an international airport for easy shipping. The cabinet design is ultra-modern, even by todays standards. The case is finely finished mahogany and has a full, pleasing tone. The base is painted metal, with attached wheels. With a simple pull of a pin, the piano folds down, to be easily rolled and stored. This piece measures 38.5"T x 74"L x 56.5"W..

Wear consistent with age and use. Nice vintage condition with light age appropriate wear. The top cover has some light wear to finish. One small corner on front is dented-will be repaired before it ships. Chips to the painted black aluminum frame. Will need to be tuned.
