About the Item

A stunning 19th Century heavy cast iron umbrella or stick stand of exceptional quality. The finely wrought pierced back support surmounted with cherub is decorated intricately throughout with gorgeous trailing foliate, scrolls and sphere motifs. Raised over a two section demi-lune tier with rope twist detail, which forms the holder for canes, walking sticks and umbrellas, the platform drip pan base of shaped rectangular form with striking geometric diamond motif detail and two removable drip pan trays.
