About the Item

Some notes about the author Max Ingrand: a famous French master glass worker and decorator, he was artistic director of FontanaArte for one decade, starting from 1954. During that time, he came up with true design classics. Having studied at the school of fine Arts in Paris, he specialized in the decorative Arts, under the guidance of major artists such as Jacques Grüber and Charles Lemaresquier. He produced a great number of stained glass panels for religious buildings, hotels and public places, and was awarded the French Legion of Honour. Here we have an umbrella stand made of polished brass and colored glass, designed by Max Ingrand and produced by Fontana Arte, circa 1960. In very good condition and fully original. We recommend a wooden crate for shipping to prevent glass damage.
