About the Item

Stunning, unique one off rare Mid-Century Modern vintage umbrella Stand or holder signed and dated (5.1.1965) by the German artist Eberhard Dänzer (1935-2008) Karlsruhe, Germany in 1965. Hand decorated with colorful geometric shapes - almost resembling tribal patterns - in red, orange, yellow, blue, pink and green. Eberhard Dänzer was most well known for his lithographs and linoleum prints. This, as a large work in ceramic, is an extremely rare piece. A grand, opulent and decadent piece to brighten up your entrance or hallway and add a splash of color - a real statement piece.
