Unique opportunity to get this exceptional private life of The Napoleon Emperor bedroom curtain! he Palais Beauharnais was a palace located in Paris, France, that was built in the 18th century for the Beauharnais family. The palace was purchased by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1809 for use as a residence for his stepson, Eugene de Beauharnais, and his wife, Hortense de Beauharnais. During the time of the Napoleon Empire in 1809, the palace was decorated with luxurious furnishings, including ornate curtains. The curtains were probably made of high-quality fabrics such as silk, velvet or damask and were likely adorned with intricate embroidery, tassels, and other decorative elements. These curtains would have been an important part of the palace's interior design and would have contributed to its opulent and grand appearance. However, it's hard to find a specific information regarding the Palais Beauharnais's curtains during that period as there are no surviving records or images that specifically show or describe the curtains. As the palace was destroyed during the 19th century, it's hard to know the details of the palace's interior decoration. "The building was erected at the behest of Foreign Minister Colbert de Torcy (1665-1746),[1] shortly before his dismissal by Regent Philippe of Orléans. Then named Hôtel de Torcy, it served as Colbert's retirement home where he kept his extensive art collection and completed his memoirs. View over the Seine and the Tuileries (1801) after several changes of ownership and plundered during the French Revolution, it passed to Eugène de Beauharnais, a stepson of Napoleon who became Viceroy of Italy and also aimed at the succession to the French throne. The building then received its present-day portico in an Egyptomanian style which was popular in the wake of the French Campaign in Egypt. Opulently furnished with large-scale paintings by Hubert Robert, the spacious rooms fitted with Beauharnais' great demands. However, the Viceroy had little opportunity to reside at his Paris home. When Napoleon married the Habsburg archduchess Marie Louise in 1810, he used the Hôtel as a guest house for Beauharnais' father-in-law, King Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria."
