7th century Flemish tapestry decorative pillow constructed from an authentic handwoven wool tapestry fragment originating in Flanders present day Belgium. This textile reflects the refined Baroque tradition for which Flemish workshops were highly regarded during the seventeenth century. The composition features a softly rendered landscape with stylized botanical and figural elements woven in muted earth tones including sage green tan and soft blue that have naturally mellowed over time.
