About the Item
Crafted from a late 19th to early 20th-century embroidered textile believed to originate from Greece or the surrounding Balkan region, this pillow cover features a diamond lattice filled with miniature floral and geometric motifs. Cross-stitched in deep reds, ochres, greens, and pale mint on a dark ground, the design carries a sense of traditional elegance and striking vibrancy.
The back is finished in antique silk velvet in an earthen brown tone, chosen for its softness and tonal harmony with the embroidered front. The pairing of embroidery and velvet creates a refined balance of heritage and comfort.
Recommended insert size: 40x52cm (16x20") to 43x55cm (17x21"). We recommend using an insert slightly larger than the cover for a full look.
