About the Item
This pillow features an exquisite hand-embroidered panel from Uzbekistan, dating to the early 20th century. The front textile is made from pure silk, both in its ground fabric and embroidery threads, showcasing vivid floral motifs rendered in saturated tones of crimson, orange, violet, and leaf green. The fine satin stitching and rhythmic composition reflect the rich regional embroidery traditions of Central Asia, where silk textiles were prized for ceremonial and domestic use.
The back is crafted from new cotton velvet in a warm ochre hue, lending a soft contrast to the luminous silk embroidery.
Recommended pillow insert size is from 48x39cm (19x15") to 51x42cm (20x16"). We recommend the insert slightly be bigger than the cover for a full look.
