About the Item
Woven in Sivas Province in eastern Turkey during the early 20th century, this pair of pillow covers highlights the refined artistry of Anatolian handweaving. Each piece features antique wool panels with intricate geometric motifs and slender stripes in deep indigo and crimson — tones characteristic of traditional textiles from this region.
One pillow is crafted entirely from antique handwoven wool, while the other combines antique wool with newly woven cotton in a coordinating slate blue tone. The cotton, also used for both backs, adds durability and a subtle textural contrast that enhances the vintage front panels.
Recommended insert size: from 34x49cm (13x19") to 37x52cm (14x20"). We recommend using an insert slightly larger than the cover for a full look.
