Crafted from antique handwoven wool once used as waistbands in regional women’s attire, these covers offer a rare glimpse into the sartorial traditions of Sivas, an Anatolian region of Turkey. The vertical striping in earthy reds, creams, and deep blues carries a timeworn softness, lending warmth and subtle rhythm to any space.
Each back is lined with 19th-century silk velvet in a rich crimson tone, creating a luxurious contrast in texture. The pairing of antique wool with historic silk produces a soft harmony of heritage and comfort, making these covers both decorative and culturally significant.
Recommended insert size: from 32x48cm (12x18") to 35x51cm (13x19"). We recommend using an insert slightly larger than the cover for a full look.
