About the Item
This is a fine group of 3 cushions sewn from Ashante textile from Ghana. The Ashante are renowned weavers in West Africa an weave for the Royal Palace in Kumasi. These cushions are woven from handspun cotton and all natural dyes. The original textile will have been woven in the mid 1960's and worn at several important occassions including births and marriages.
The Ashante weave in vibrant colours expressing their wealth and culture hence the red and gold in the cushions.
These cushions would compliment any room and are classic Festive colours.
