Early 19th-Century Hand-Embroidered Uzbek Textile Pillow This exquisite pillow is fashioned from an early 19th-century Uzbek ceremonial textile panel, richly hand-embroidered with metallic gold and silver threads, glass beads, and naturally dyed silk accents on a deep indigo cotton ground. The elaborate botanical and floral motifs—stylized leaves, scrolling tendrils, and symbolic blossoms—are emblematic of traditional Suzani embroidery from Central Asia, where such designs were believed to represent prosperity and protection. The antique textile, originally part of a ceremonial jacket, has been repurposed into a unique decorative pillow, backed with soft taupe velvet and finished with a concealed closure.
