Scotland with factory off cuts, salvage and dead-stock GOTS linen
cottons. Quilted base with 100% recycled polyester wadding.
'For their exhibition, ‘You Can Sit With US’ at London Design Festival '23, 2LG studio invited Granite+Smoke to collaborate on a range of textile tapestry wall hangings and blankets. With a sense of playfulness and inclusivity at the heart of the partnership, the designs embody a mutual passion for colour, craftsmanship and sustainability.
Embracing the challenge of working with discarded textile materials, a series of limited edition one off wall hangings were created for the exhibition. Over the past year Granite + Smoke have collected their production and sample run waste from their mills in the UK and re-used this to make unique art works and pieces for the home.
