About the Item
This antique lumbar pillow features a late 19th-century Ottoman textile richly embroidered in silk over wool. At the center, a domed architectural motif radiates outward, framed by swirling paisleys and scrolling borders. The embroidery is finely detailed yet bold, reflecting the ceremonial artistry and grandeur of Ottoman decorative work.
The reverse is crafted from a softly textured striped cotton, neutral in tone and warm in handfeel, providing a quiet counterbalance to the luminous front. This pairing of opulent embroidery with simple cotton grounding creates a refined blend of history and modern versatility.
