About the Item
The Jazz Age of Japan, the Taisho era (1912-1926), was characterized by exuberance and an embrace of Western style. Young people eagerly adopted Western dress, with men swapping traditional garb for bell-bottom trousers, floppy ties, and brightly-colored shirts. As a tribute to this adventurous time, these down-filled pillows are pieced together from swatches of Japanese fabrics culled from men's suits in a dynamic patchwork.
