About the Item

This hand-crafted pillow was designed by a local Chicago artist and textile historian who lovingly repurposes the vintage fabrics, garments and embroidery fragments she collects during her travels. This petite, down-filled pillow is sewn from vintage Japanese fabric, printed with a repeating pattern of flower diamonds (hana-bishi) and simple linework. Likely block-printed by hand, the allover pattern is printed on tightly woven cotton in an earth-toned palette of red, brown, pink and golden-yellow.
