Lakai are people residing in parts of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikstan. Even though they are nomadic, i.e. on the move all the time they produced exclusive embroideris done in different techniques such as cross stitiching, basma stitching or chain stitching.
This pillow cover is fashioned from a mafrash panel ( a storage bag or modern day suitcase ) embroidered in silk in 70s to 80s.
It does not come wit an insert.
Linen in the back.
